Description
Dr. Smith attended Medical School at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida before completing his Internship in Internal Medicine. Afterwards, he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, and Comprehensive Adult Echocardiography, as well as Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology. His special interests include Consultative Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization, and he is licensed as an authorized user of Nuclear Imaging. The American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM) announced in November 2017 that Dr. David W. Smith is among the 204 physicians and 43 PhD/Masters-level health clinicians who have become the first medical professionals globally to be certified as Diplomates of the ABLM/American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
