Our practice group includes a wide range of health and wellness professionals Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP), Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor. Additionally, the practice includes an Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist. Our focus goes beyond symptom management, aiming to resolve and restore our patients optimal state of wellness. We believe that all aspects of health are codependent, and everyone should be given the opportunity for individual treatment rather than care dictated by a corporate model or algorithm.

    Sandra Walker Nichols, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a highly accomplished psychiatric nurse practitioner with a diverse educational background and extensive clinical experience. She serves patients at Panacea Behavioral Health & Wellness Center, which has offices in Virginia, Arizona, and Florida. Raised in Monticello, Florida, Sandra pursued her undergraduate and graduate studies at Florida State University in Tallahassee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and English (1989), a master’s degree in English (1991), a doctoral degree in higher education (2004), a bachelor’s in nursing (2005, cum laude), a master’s degree in nursing with a concentration in nursing education (2006), and a post-masters certificate as a family nurse practitioner (2008). In December 2015, Sandra expanded her expertise by completing a post-master's certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) from Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights. Currently, she serves as the program director for the PMHNP Program at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Sandra's clinical practice interests include grief therapy, bereavement, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Sandra is dedicated to both her professional and personal life. She is married to Captain Todd Nichols and is a proud mother of three adult children, all alumni of Florida State University. Her hobbies include reading and writing (both fiction and nonfiction), researching family history and genealogy, cooking, canning and preserving fresh produce, traveling, and spending time with friends. She also enjoys recreational walks with her two Australian Shepherd dogs.

Focusing on medication management and various therapeutic modalities, Suzanna is committed to supporting her clients on their mental wellness journey. Suzanna brings extensive experience in emergency, trauma, and acute behavioral health nursing within hospital settings, as well as outpatient expertise in life care planning. She has had the opportunity to practice nursing across multiple states and is currently licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. Suzanna’s diverse background and dedication to her community enhance her ability to provide comprehensive care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in human environmental science from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a Master of Science in nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Liz earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida State University and completed a Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania. Furthering her expertise, she also obtained a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) post-graduate certificate from Florida State University. Trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Jenny uses this evidence-based approach to guide clients in processing traumatic experiences and reducing the emotional distress they carry. At this time, all sessions are conducted exclusively through Telehealth.     Jordan Parker, LPC, is a dedicated mental health professional committed to helping individuals achieve emotional well-being and personal growth. He serves patients as part of the team at Panacea Behavioral Health & Wellness Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Human Services from Old Dominion University, Jordan further advanced his expertise by earning a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. During his master’s program, he gained valuable experience as a counselor in a Therapeutic Day Treatment program, solidifying his passion for providing compassionate and effective mental health care. As an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), Jordan has worked extensively with children, adults, and families to address a variety of mental health needs. He has developed individualized service plans (ISPs), collaborated with collateral providers for care coordination, and employed evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s goals. His hands-on experience includes roles as a Mental Health Skills Building Counselor and Behavior Technician, where he supported individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other mental health challenges. In addition to his clinical practice, Jordan contributed to research in the ERP Lab at Old Dominion University. There, he honed his skills in operating EEG machines and analyzing data with programs like PsychoPy and ActiView, fostering a deeper understanding of the neurological components of mental health.
